SPECIAL EDITION IMPREZA TURBO CELEBRATES THE NUMBER THREE
Subaru is using the number three as the theme for its latest special edition Impreza Turbo - almost certain to become a collector's item.
Called 'Terzo' - which is Italian for 'third'- the 143.5 mph flagship celebrates the third year in succession that Subaru has won the Manufacturer's Title in the World Rally Championship. It costs £22,995 on-the-road.
Terzo is also the third special edition Impreza Turbo. The Series McRae of 1995 and Catalunya from last year were both instant successes, with many examples changing hands at a premium.
Continuing the three theme, only 333 Terzos will be imported, all based on the Impreza Turbo 2000 AWD saloon and all sporting a special exterior colour - Terzo Blue Mica - which is very similar to the colour of the rally car driven by Colin McRae and his team mates.
Additional equipment over the standard car includes gold painted alloy wheels,
air-conditioning, grey alcantara and suede effect interior trim, a Class One Approved Cobra remote central-locking, alarm and immobiliser system, special Terzo-embossed carpet mats, a numbered plaque plus side decals.
Improvements shared with all Impreza Turbo models for '98 include larger 205/50 tyres on 7JJx16 ins wheels, a Forester-style fascia, a leather-covered 4-spoke Momo steering wheel, leather-covered handbrake lever and white instrument dials.
